Where to?

A reader commented that silver might be a good idea with a black suit and white shirt.

In truth there is little that wont work with a black suit and white shirt. That being said it really depends on the effect you are trying to attain.

The plum that we used (thats what the customer took) is good for a pop.

The silver and gold(ish), more elegant.

Off white perhaps for a groom or a truly elegant affair.

Black and white as a background will open you up for anything. To quote from the old Microsoft ad "Where do you want to go today?".

Enjoy your weekend.

  1. I think the only colors that won't work with a white shirt and black suit is "brown." Are there any other colors that are certain to fail?

  2. False. Brown works with black as I will show you next week.

    Enjoy your weekend :-)

  3. Would dark purple (for both tie and square) work? The idea seams to be a bit odd since we normally want something stand out on black (ie, something bright). But I am thinking of RLPL colors.
